Hailey Ra competed in the 2021 USATKD US OPEN Online Poomsae Championship. Before the pandemic US OPEN Taekwondo Championship was one of the most attended tournaments with over 2000 athletes from 65 countries. It’s one of the highest level competitions hosted by USA Taekwondo drawing the top athletes from all over the world. This year, in Hailey’s division, Female Under 30, the preliminary round opened with 45 athletes, which had the most competitors. The preliminary competition aired Tuesday, March 16th with 45 athletes and the top 24 highest score athletes advanced to the semifinals. Thursday, March 18th, in the semifinals Hailey advanced to the finals, ranking within the top 8 athletes. Friday, March 19th, competing with the top 8, Hailey received a remarkable score of 8.1 on her first poomsae and finished with Bronze Medal.
